Meet the Remco Agency Insurance Specialists
Steve is a Licensed Insurance Broker in property-casualty, and life and health. As President, he brings over 35 years of experience to the company in property-casualty as well as areas of financial planning, life insurance, and estate conservation. Steve heads up our private client group that helps our high net worth clients protect their income and assets. He graduated Bryant University in Business Administration and received his CLU degree from the American College. He currently serves on the boards of several organizations and has been recognized as the Businessman of the year from the City of Long Beach. He has served as President of his religious organization, President of the Long Beach Little League, Board member of the Long Beach Hospital, and is currently the honoree of the Insurance division of the UJA. With his free time he enjoys playing softball and spending time with his family.
Executive Vice President
Carl is a Principal of Remco Agency and leads the business insurance practice. His thirty five year insurance career spans extensive experience in sales, marketing and underwriting at Royal Insurance, Aon Corporation, Applied Underwriters, Y.A. Tittle and Associates, and Asero Insurance. He has a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from Santa Clara University with Insurance and Risk Management coursework at Golden Gate University. Carl serves on the Board of a Property Casualty insurance company and supports the PIA and IIAA trade organizations. He is a member of St. Ignatius and St. Damien parishes and participates in Church Stewardship initiatives. Carl spends his personal time enjoying family, traveling and the Jersey Shore.
John P. McCartin
Founding Principal and Head of Personal Lines Practice
John’s extensive experience and commitment to professionalism provides clients with the service they expect from a best practice insurance firm. His insurance career began in 1992 at Phoenix Brokerage and transitioned to a sales representative position with Liberty Mutual in 1995. John ultimately led his Liberty Mutual office to be one of the leading sales units countrywide. John is a graduate of Nassau Community College and holds his Series 6 and 63 investment certificates in addition to Property Casualty, Life, Accident and Health insurance licenses. John spends personal time enjoying his family and riding his motorcycle.
Matthew focuses on both personal and business insurances. He prides himself on client responsiveness, efficiency, and extensive insurance coverage knowledge. His honest and comprehensive approach assures clients quality professional service for their insurance program. Matthew graduated with a double major in Marketing Management and Communications from The State University of New York at Albany. Matthew spends his personal time with his wife and two daughters.
Michael has been in the insurance industry for nearly fifteen years following graduation from the University of Albany. His industry experience includes sales leadership at both captive and independent insurance agent and brokerage firms. Michael’s client relationships span generations and his goal is to serve customers’ insurance and risk management needs for life. His personal time is spent with his wife and son and he enjoys bike riding. Mike is a proud sponsor of Walk MS, the charity devoted to ending Multiple Sclerosis.
Shawn J. Diamond
Shawn provides industry-leading insurance services and risk management solutions to corporations and individuals. He was an Equity Trader prior to joining the executive team at Remco. Shawn has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and has held some senior positions at Credit Lyonnais and Kepler Equities. He holds both a Property and Casualty license along with the Life and Health license. Shawn is also a Series 7, 55, 63, and 65 licensed Investment Advisor Representative and uses these credentials to support client’s strategic insurance objectives.
Paul is a key producer specializing in Business Insurance program design. His 32 year career has evolved with current emphasis in advanced Property Casualty risk reduction strategies and services. Paul’s commitment is delivering clients some of the most robust insurance products available in today’s market with the highest level of customer support. Paul has a Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Stony Brook, and holds several industry designations. Paul spends his personal time with his wife and family, is an avid outdoorsman, and loves riding his Harley Davidson with brothers and friends.
Benjamin is a key producer with Remco Agency and has been with the company since 2010. His primary responsibilities include building new and existing client relationships. Benjamin’s ten year insurance career is significant in that its sole focus has been in the insurance agency and brokerage segments with heralded achievements in building long standing successful relationships with private clients and businesses. He is a graduate of the University at Buffalo and has earned the Personal Lines Coverage Specialist designation. Benjamin enjoys travel and spending personal time hiking and cycling in the tri state area.
Regina M. Nooney
Regina’s primary responsibilities include new client business development and client service accountability for the Remco portfolio. Regina is committed to providing responsive service and accurate risk assessment for clients to assure integrity in their coverage and insurance program. She is a graduate of State University of New York at Old Westbury with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Regina enjoys outdoor activities and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Bob a former Hospital Administrator has both his Property and Casualty, and Life and Health Insurance Licenses. For the past 12 years he has taken his knowledge from the health care industry and applied it to the insurance industry. He has grown his career by truly understanding the needs of his clients; helping them not only with their commercial and personal insurances, and also with the ever growing complexities of health insurance. He is well versed in the Senior Market needs with regards to Medicare, Supplemental, Part D Prescription Drug coverage, and Long Term Care Insurance. Bob enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Shannon’s main responsibilities include assisting our top producers in their day to day duties. Her focus is to build strong relationships with current clients while providing top service in order to honor their insurance policy. Shannon’s main goal is to keep clients satisfied with the best possible coverage. She is a graduate of Farmingdale State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. On her free time, she enjoys spending valuable time with her family and friends and loves the outdoors.
Norma I. Ortiz
Personal Lines Manager
Norma has been with Remco Agency for over ten years. Her responsibilities include managing client service relationships and client support staff for private client services. She is also involved in key aspects of Remco service operations and administrative functions. Norma began her insurance career with Liberty Mutual and has maintained a New York State Property Casualty Insurance Broker License for nearly fifteen years. Norma enjoys spending quality time with her family.
Denise M. Sessions
Sales and Client Support Representative
Denise, a licensed Property & Casualty Insurance broker is a sales and client support representative and has been with Remco and its predecessor Company for ten years. Her over thirty year career began at the Charles Bacchi Agency, her family owned firm, which she managed for twenty years. Denise’s commitment to client service and extensive insurance expertise provides clients with the assurance that their insurance programs are well managed. Her personal time is spent with family and she especially enjoys summers out east.

Cynthia has been a part of Remco team since May 2014. She performs essential tasks in supporting the needs of clients meeting the quality standards of Remco. Cynthia looks forward to a challenge and likes to learn new things. In her personal time she also enjoys cooking and spending time with her family

Stephanie serves as an intermediary between the company and its customers, answering consumer questions and helping resolve issues with a product or service. She demonstrates strong knowledge of insurance principles and a knack for conflict resolution as an insurance customer service representative with Remco Agency. She loves baking and decorating special events on her personal time.
Commercial Underwriting Manager
Taryn’s primary responsibilities include managing client service requirements and client support staff at the Company. Taryn is also involved with managing Remco’s Business Insurance company relationships. Her career includes experience at intermediary insurance companies and brokerages specializing in Casualty Insurance. Taryn is a graduate of Hofstra University and enjoys personal time with her family and friends.
Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative
Frances’ responsibilities include handling daily client inquiries, assisting bilingual clients with Spanish translation and supporting the Underwriting Manager to ensure efficient procedures in the Business Insurance department. Frances graduated from the Instituto De Banco y Comercio in Puerto Rico. She enjoys spending time with her family, the kids from the Special Needs Unit in PAL & Little League, the kids from church, and the missionary areas of Dominican Republic & Honduras.
Paula Klein Coppola
Sales and Client Service Representative
Paula, a licensed insurance broker, is a sales and client service representative at Remco Agency. Her over 30 year insurance career includes extensive experience in private client and business insurance. Paula’s industry experience includes managing a Brooklyn insurance brokerage which was acquired by a Remco predecessor company in 2009. She attended Brooklyn College at the beginning of her insurance career and enjoys traveling in her spare time.
Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative
Michelle joined Remco Agency in 2016 as a customer service representative and has prior experience in the insurance industry. She takes pride in providing excellent customer service to our clients and is looking forward to growing with the company. Michelle has associates in Fashion Design from Nassau Community College and plans on continuing her education to expand her knowledge in insurance. On the weekends she enjoys volunteering in several community service organizations including Long Island Cares as well as spending quality time with her friends and family.
Desiree has been part of the Remco team since 2011. She is a licensed broker with primary responsibilities for certificate administration and service support for business insurance clients. Desiree is also involved with technical issues that affect client’s casualty insurance provisions. Desiree enjoys reading and spending her personal time with family especially her son, Drew.
Frank handles Remco’s Policy Services function and has been in the insurance industry for over 20 years. His insurance experience includes both intermediary and agency operations and is well suited to support insurance producers in the achievement of their professional goals. Frank also participates in supporting administrative operations at Remco which assists the Company’s overall strategic objectives. Frank is a graduate of Nassau Community College and he enjoys traveling to different countries and classic rock music.
Pearl graduated from CUNY with a degree in Health Science and an Undergraduate of the Nursing Program. Her passion and love for numbers along with 20+ years of experience has driven her into fulfilling her duties here at Remco. Her duties involve a variety of administrative settings stemming from Accounts Payable to Accounts Receivable ensuring that all day-to day financial transactions of the business is recorded and brought to trial balance stage. Her desire is to positively impact the lives around her through the vessel of leadership and integrity. On her free time, Pearl enjoys reading, spending time with family and volunteering to different organization.
Director of Human Resources
Michelle’s primary role is to manage employee relations, benefits, and payroll and compliance issues. Michelle also works with the management team to implement company policies and processes that boost employee engagement and performance. Ms. Lynch earned a BA in psychology from Brown University and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. On her free time she enjoys quality time with her family and friends.
